Genesis is a UK bike brand that was founded in 2006 with a focus on road, urban, youth and mountain bikes. Their first ever bike - the Day One - was produced under the Ridgeback brand, and was hugely popular, spurring them to create a label in its own right. Since then they’ve expanded even further into the worlds of cyclocross, gravel and fat bikes. And are renowned for their use of steel tubing and ethos for function over form. Since 2013 they’ve supplied bikes and been the title sponsor to the Madison Genesis road racing team, and when Vin Cox claimed a Guinness World Record for the cycling around the world in 2010, he did so on their most successful model, the Croix de Fer.
Genesis is one of our most popular brands, because they have something for everyone. Whether you want to race on road, adventure on gravel, cycle all around the world, or simply ride around town. Their range is versatile, and their bikes are extremely well-made and comfortable. In terms of sizing, they can come up quite long, so if you're on the shorter side or have a shorter reach, we'd definitely recommend test riding a couple of sizes to make sure the bike fits you properly.
