All suspension forks, rear shocks (if fitted) and components (other than those made by Orange) shall be covered by the stated warranty of their manufacturer. Warranty claims for suspension forks, rear shocks and components should be sent to the representative of the manufacturer via the supplying dealer. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of a defective frame, fork or component part and is the sole remedy of the warranty. This warranty applies only to a bicycle purchased from a retailer authorised by Orange Mountain Bikes Limited. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, improper assembly (such as crossed bottom bracket threads), poor maintenance or installation of parts and accessories not originally intended for, or compatible with the bicycle as sold. Specifically the fitting or modification of rear suspension units not supplied as original equipment or fitting suspension forks with travel longer than the recommended maximum, as shown in the table below will invalidate this warranty. Orange Mountain Bikes reserve the right not to warranty bicycles, frames or components which in their opinion have been used for riding conditions outside the limits indicated for each model. These limits are shown on the Ride Guide and geometry information featured in the current Orange brochure and website. Your Orange dealer can provide clarification of these categories and the intended use for individual models, if required. The warranty does not apply to damage or failure due to accident, abuse, collision impact (e.g. flared headtube) or neglect. The warranty excludes bicycles used for competition, speed or time trials, hire, reward or rental. Orange Mountain Bikes Limited shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages. Claims under this warranty are to be made through an authorised Orange dealer. The complete bicycle must be returned via the authorised Orange dealer to allow inspection of all the components and parts. Proof of purchase is required and a warranty registration card (see opposite) must have been received by Orange Mountain Bikes Limited before warranty claims can be processed. This limited warranty does not apply to damage caused by collision, crashing, trick riding, riding with heavy loads, commercial activities, or any similar activities or misuse; such uses may damage the bicycle, can cause serious injury to the rider, and in all cases will void this warranty. On Models with adjustable geometry (eg: 224-evolution) it is essential you follow the factory recommendations. Failure to do so will void the warranty. This warranty does not take the place of any legal and contractual rights between the supplying dealer and the owner. In the event of a problem the owner should contact the supplying dealer in the first instance.

MARIN BIKES UK LIMITED WARRANTY

Note: this warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
Only bikes supplied fully assembled directly from an authorised Marin dealer qualify for any Marin warranty in the UK. Bikes supplied through other means, including mail order are not covered.

Standard Limited Frame Warranty
As standard, all Marin 2007 - 2010 frames are supplied with a 3 year Limited Warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. If accepted for a Warranty claim the frame will be repaired or replaced free of charge. Crash damage, damage caused by poor maintenance, fair wear and tear, delivery and labour (i.e. frame swaps) are not covered by this warranty.

Additional Limited Lifetime Frame Warranty from ATB Sales Ltd
Bikes registered for Platinum Care will automatically extend the cover to a limited lifetime warranty, again covering defects in materials and workmanship.
The above limited lifetime frame warranty is for the original owner only and must be regularly serviced and well maintained.
Depending on the frame materials used and the frame technology involved the Additional Limited Lifetime Frame Warranty works in one of 2 ways.
For all rigid aluminium frames constructed from 6000 and 7000 series alloys, the Warranty covers 100% of the replacement frame value, whatever the age of the bike.
All other frame styles, built using exotic alloys or composites, or featuring suspension systems are at the sharp end of our line and subject to a relentless development programme, which can make supplying an original equivalent difficult. Therefore, these frames are covered by a different Limited Lifetime Trade-up Frame Warranty, allowing us to supply the original owner with an equivalent, more contemporary product, in the event that an original replacement is not available.

The Additional Limited Lifetime Trade-up Frame Warranty works on a sliding scale.
AgeValue subsidised by Marin UK
Up to 3 years100% of equivalent replacement frame SRP
Up to 5 years75% of equivalent replacement frame SRP
Up to 10 years50% of equivalent replacement frame SRP
Over 10 years25% of equivalent replacement frame SRP
Any payment due from the original owner will be made directly to the Marin Warranty Trade-up scheme. Delivery and labour are not covered by this warranty. All claims need to be made through an authorised Marin dealer.

Every two years:
The lightweight handlebars supplied on this bike MUST be replaced periodically as in time they will possibly fail due to fatigue. We recommend a maximum of 2 years between replacements, less if you ride aggressively.
